Koputaroa won by default from Afangahao. Otaki 3 v. Paraparaumu 0. Te Horo 11 v. Weraroa 6. THIRDS. Shannon 0 v. Foxton 0. Weraroa 11 v. Rovers 3. Te Horo 21 v. Paraparaumu 3. FOXTON JUNIORS- V. TOKOALIRU. The Foxton Juniors journeyed to Tokomaru on Saturday and, with a scratch team of fourteen men, were defeated by six points to three. The match was played on a field, ankledeep in water. Foxton won the toss and Tokomaru kicked off and immediately became aggressive. Play was very even and at half time there was no score.
On play resuming, Foxton, from a scrum in. tlieir opponent’s twentyfive instituted a passing rush and Andrews crossed the line. The try was not converted. Foxton 3, Tokomaru nil.
Tokomaru now forced play and from a dribbling rush, scored near the corner. The kick at goal failed. Tokomaru 3, Foxton 3. Soon after, as the result of fast following up, Dalzell secured possession and scored. Tokomaru 6, Foxton 3. Foxton then rallied and although vigorous efforts were made, failed to equalise. The game ended Tokomam 6, Foxton 3. Mr Hemmingsen gave every satisfaction with the whistle.
