Victoria, Lambeth, Ivuightsbridge, Chalk Farm, Bank, and London Bridge stations have won challenge shields as the smartest of London underground stations. The sting of the common nettle will sometimes last as long as six or even eight hours. The sting of one species in Java lasts for a whole year! The whole floor of the Pacific' Ocean is sinking, according to one American scientist. The largest displacement of this kind on record occurred in 1899, when the fall was 47 feet.
