THE LATEST MAGAZINES.
We have just received from the publishers (Messrs Gordon and Gotch A ust. Ltd.) the following latest magazines, per Mr R. L. Heath. Weldon’s Ladies’ Journal, July Number. —All the smartest fashions of the season are contained in this number of the Weldon’s Ladies’ Journal. Gratis patterns are enclosed of' the latest; French threepiece suit, sports jumper, and skirt; a gratis transfer for tile new embroidery and applique; beautiful art supplement of Paris fashions in photogravure; serial story “Flood - Tide!’ by Miss Olive Wadsley; result of the Weldon’s great: jumper competition, and the number also includes all the newest designs for three-piece suits. These, besides numerous other articles, make up one of the best copies of this maga-, zine yet issued. Weldon’s Bazaar of Children’s Fashions, July Number. —This number will prove a great boon to every mother as it contains the most delightful styles for children of all ages, so designed that with the aid of Weldon’s patterns they are easily and quite cheaply made at home. There are splendid free patterns enclosed of .two dresses for girl (4 to 0 years), coat for girl (8 to 10 years), boy’s blouse suit, and baby’s coat and bonnet (1 to 2 years) and in additiod to many .pages of fashions, showing the newest designs in coats, dresses and suits for school children. This number is a very fine issue and every mother should be sure and procure a copy. Wide World Magazine.—Many articles of great interest appear in the May issue of this magazine. In that fine story of her own folk, “The Splendid Fairing.” awarded the Fe-mina-Vie Heurcnse prize for the best literary novel in 1020. Miss Constance Holme makes a delightful reference to Kendal and its shopkeepers. “An intimate view of Arthur Griffiths.” Recollections of the Trish War by Darrell Fippis — the famous Roscommon Election — preparing the'case for Ireland at the Paris peace conference — the author’s second arrest and arrival in Oxford. “The Camera’s Gift to Alan,” by Edwin E. Slosson. How photography has effected our lives and how this great invention has been used —and many other articles all fully illustrated.
