MURDER OF CONSTABLE DORGAN.
INFORMATION VOLUNTEERED. Christchurch, Last Night. Tlie murder of Constable James Dorgan at Tiinarn two years ago was reoalle<f*by the arrest of Samuel Robert William Smith, aged 28, who was charged in the Magistrate’s Court, Christchurch, to-day, with the theft, of a motor-ear and vagi aiicy. In a confession to the police in regard to the theft of the ear, Smith volunteered a statement that he might be Able to give some information in regard to the murder of Constable Dorgan. The police attach little credence to the story, hut are investigating.
