OBITUARY.

MR. .J. K. WARBURTON.

The death took place in Wellington early on- Saturday evening of Mr J. K. .Warburton, formerly Controller arid Auditor-General and one of the best known public officers of his day- The late Mr Warburton held inanv responsible posts in the servicer.!; When he retired on pension at his own request in 1910, he had . completed over forty years spent in the service of his country. The late Mr Warburton came of an Irish family, ancf-was the eldest son of Mr Thomas Kemmis Warburton, of Grey Inch, • Queen’s County. He was unmarried. His relatives are his brother, Mr Arthur Warburton, Mrs R. W. Kane, of Wellington, and Miss May Warburton, who resides at Nice, in south of France.
