Mrs E. Healey, of Foxton, is at present on a holiday and health recruiting visit to Sydney. \\'!p are pleased to report that Mr W. D. Baiu-kham’s condition is very much improved since entering the Palmerston hospital. The result of an X.-rnv examination will determine whether an operation will he necessary.
The Foxton friends of Mr .Joseph Thompson-, of the China Inland Mission, will learn with satisfaction that his condition showed a change for the better after having reached a critical stage on Friday and Saturday. Mr Thompson was to have returned to China in a few weeks after finishing his first furlough for ten years’ service. Mr Thompson is a brother-in-law of Mrs Thornher, of Foxton.
