LOCAL AWARD.
The Royal Humane Society has awarded a letter of commendation to Clarence IT. Walls, of Foxton, for hi.- heroic action in jumping over the local wharf in an endeavour to rescue George TTelherington Small, aged 15 years, who accidentally fell into the river and was drowned on January Ist 1923.
