FIRE AT HIMATANGI.

FIVE-ROOMED DWELLING DESTROYED.

A five-roomed dwelling and contents were totally destroyed by fire at: Himatangi at about midnight on Tuesday. The dwelling was owned by Messrs Huxford and Turner, of Palmerston N. There was no one in the house at the time of the outbreak. A young man who works on the farm, and who sleeps in a whare, was in the house during the evening, and when he left everything appeared to be safe. The insurances are (subject to verification) £BOO on the dwelling* and £125 on the furniture and effects.
