FIRE IN A THEATRE.

Auckland, Last Night. A lire occurred in the Victoria Theatre, Devonport, to-night, when rubbish in the storeroom under the operating box became ignited. The theatre was tilled with smoke and the audience became alarmed, bat the manager re-assured them and the orchestra continued playing* Considerable damage was done in the storeroom, although the brigade easily extinguished the flames.
