THE LATEST MAGAZINES
We have just received from the publishers (Messrs Gordon and Goteli Aust. Ltd.) the following latest magazines, per Mr R. Heath. — Huteliinson’s Magazine: The second instalment of Cosmo Hamilton’s new serial “Another Scandal” appears in the April issue of Ibis magazine. In this powerful and beautiful romance of a girl who, although she was beset bv a spirit of mischief, truly loved and honoured her husband. Readers will discover a new side to the author’s versatile genius. This is one of the most penetrating studies yet written of present day conditions, as they effect woman. Other stories in lighter vein by Edmund Snell, Lady Dorothy Mills, Edith B. Delano, etc. display their talents and Henry Williamson writes a beautiful tale of love and death. A special feature of this number is a photograph supplement “Rival Beauties.” This number is certain to find favour from the old renders, and attract new. The Violet Magazine.—The March issue of this popular magazine contains many good stories of love, romance and mystery, both serious and entertaining, contributed by well-known authors. “Like Mothers—Like Daughter,” a most absorbing story written by Agatha Murray. A thrilling Eastern romance which is sure to hold your interest throughout is “Almond Eyes,” by Hugh Temple, and Veil Earrington writes a gripping short story entitled “The Girl from Nowhere,” and many other stories all new and good, all fully illustrated. This number of the Violet Magazine is certain to find much favour with its manv readers.
Mv Magazine: —One of the most popular magazines to-day is the “My Magazine.” With the April number is a special article “Who First Thought of God?” the heroic young man on the throne of Egypt. Dramatic Change of Nations —this article shows how the biggest nation in Europe has lost its place. Civilisation going north changes in the Great White World. The marvellous Maxwell Boy and the wonders he did for us all, and many other articles all beautifnliy illustrated. This number is well up to the high reputation gained by the “My Magazine.”
Adventure Story Magazine:— Full of stirring stories of adventure, mystery and romance. With the April issue appears a long complete novel of adventure in Thibet. No writer to-day knows this strange country better than Mr Bedford Jones, and his knowledge lends to the story an uncanny grip and realism. This story is entitled “The Swastika Ring.” Other stories by .Tack Goodwin, Boyd Cable. James Fellow, A. H. Dracos, Herman Whitaker and other popular authors are to be had and Frank Robertson writes a tale of the war between cattlemen and sheepmen, which will hold the reader’s attention to the last. “The Mad Commanders” is a story with the breath of the open air in it. All stories are fully illustrated.
