FOXTON ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CLUB.
PRIME MINISTER AS PATRON.
Mr Massey has consented to become the patron of the loeal Association Football Club. Some time since the club notified the Prime Minister that a club was formed locally and invited him to become patron. The club has received the following courteous reply and alec a dona“l am duly in receipt of your letter of the 7th insfc informing me that an Association Football Club has been, formed at Foxton and asking be to become Patron of the Club. I have much pleasure in intimating my acceptance of the office, and wish to assure your executive of my appreciation of the honour they have done me. I take this opportunity of extending my best wishes for the success of the Club and as a small donation towards the funds enclose herewith a cheque for £1 Is.” Mr J. Linklater has also accepted office with the club and forwarded a donation. 1 Under such splendid patronage the* local Soccer players should be inspired to bring fresh laurels to Foxton.
