Sir, —I notice that the Borough Council is applying to the Beautifying Society for a grant of £250 for the purpose of building a grandstand on Easton Park. Well, sir, before the Beautifying Society gets ri«l of its funds, I think the Foxton Silver Band (Incorporated) should get a look in. There is no need sir, to tell you and your readers and the Beautifying Society, that the Band is a very deserving institution and is in greater need of help than the Borough Council. There is a big debt on the instruments and uniforms are wanted. The bandsmen give their services gratis to say nothing of their time in practising and I think they are more entitled to consideration when money is to be handed out. — Yours etc. MUSIC.
