REDUCTION IN BEEF FREIGHT.

Thu New Zealand Meat Producers Hoard has been negotiating with the Shipping Companies endeavouring to obtain a further reduction in beef freights, in view of the serious condition of the beef producers. The Board has now been advised that, a reduction of id per lb. has been agreed to, and will operate from 28th April until the 31st October, 1923. The action of the Shipping Companies in meeting the position is much appreciated by the Board, and will lie welcome news to beef producers at the present moment.
