FOXTON RACING CLUB.

MEETING OF STEWARDS

A general meeting of stewards of the Foxton Racing Club was held in the Town Hall last evening. Present : Messrs W. E. Barber (chairman), W. Jewell, Pearson, Green, Bryant, G. and 11. Coley, Neylon, J. Burr, Purcell, C. Robinson, and Ogilvie (secretary). It was decided that the course committee meet at the racecourse at 10.30 on May 2 to confer regarding alteration to the stewards stand. It was also decided that the Town committee meet and be empowered to make full enquiries concerning the erection of new offices on the club’s section in Main Street) also that Mr West be invited to attend the committee’s meeting on May 2. The tender of G. and J. Coley for the re-claying of the floors of the loose boxes in Whyte St. was accepted. A committee consisting of Messrs Bryant, Pearson, Barber and 11. Coley was appointed to see that the specifications were carried out, with power to pass the work, and also have any necessary work completed in the loose boxes. An application for use of the course from the Y.M.C.A. was taken in committee and will be further considered at a future meeting.
