NEAR DEATH IN FILMING PLAY.

“The Lone Hand” will be screened at the Royal Theatre on Thursday night, In this picture William Welsh, who plays the part of a miserly miner, almost gave his life as his contribution to this stirring picture. Hoot Gibson is the star and is supported bv a brilliant cast in which Marjorie Daw has the leading feminine role. Scenes of resplendent beauty mingle with many of dramatic intensity in “The Lone Hand.” On Friday night that great •dory, “Under Two Flags,” will be seen, starring Priscilla Dean. This picture, so far, has taxed the capacitv of every hall in which it has been shown. Next week that great picture, “The Prisoner of Zeiula” will be screened. Watch for further particulars. GRAND CABARET NIGHT. "Picture followers ore in for ;i good time at the Town Hall on Thursday night, being the night of the Municipal Elections. The management decided to run the usual Wednesday and Friday programmes in full on this night, and run the whole showing 1 as a Cabaret. The additional length of the picture offering will satisfy the dancing folk who will get as much dancing as they desire. The picture patrons will also receive the benefit of the long programmes without extra charge, thus killing more than two birds with the one stone, as the saying is. In selecting the programmes, great consideration has been paid to individual tastes, there being a little of everything in each part of the programmes. Cowboy, society, stunts, humour, and pathos, are all to be found. Admission usual Cabaret prices, 1/1, and children lid. Supper will also be available in the supper-room.
