“WHY ANNOUNCE YOUR MARRIAGE?”
Elaine Hamers loin who has made very many friends in Foxton, willi her delightful portrayal of whimsical roles, will again ho soon at the Town TTal! to-night in “Why Announce Your Marriage.” The story told on the screen put briefly provides a “tantalising morsel for jaded appetites, served in live spicy courses —as inviting as a wink." The plot is as clean as clean can he luii the situations create groat alnusemeiil especially when the burglar comes on Iho scene. Prices arc as usual. Advance announcement is also made for l.he special Cabaret on election night. On account of Wednesday being Anzae Day, no pictures will lie shown, and the management has decided to screen the usual Friday and Wednesday programmes in full on the Thursday night, at usual Cabaret prices. ROYAL PICTURES. Heralded as a mighty throbbing drama of human life “Where is My Wandering Boy To-night?” will he screened at the Royal Theatre tonight. Tlio story is suggested by the hymn of the same name and the pathetic talc of a country hoy who follows the lure of the big city is unfolded in such a way that it is bound to hold the .attention of every one in the audience. No dramatic subject in the world can compare with the drama of mother love. This picture is said by critics to surpass “Over the Hill.” On Monday night “The Right That Failed” will he screened. Notable features of the picture are Bert Lytell, as Johnny Dnffey, in the boxing bouts, and the last fight when in; spite of a broken hand, Johnny heats his man. The supporting cast is headed by Virginniu Valli, who gives her best in this unusual picture.
