THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The High Commissioner’s cable, dated the 14th inst., reads: ‘Hemp, Manila market, quiet, prices have declined further; ‘J’ grade, Feb-ruary-April shipments sold at £34; ‘G ’ grade, April-June shipments now quoted at £35 15/-; J at £33 5/-. New Zealand market continues dull, £3l bids for high points, April-May shipments, but no transactions recorded.”
