ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Wellington, April 13. An inquest concerning the death of Charles Silas Kelly, a well-known business man. who was found at his seaside residence at Day's Bay with Lis throat cut, the evidence went to ' show that he was in financial difficulties. Tie left a letter for his wife, stating he was “finishing all. A verdict was returned that death was due to self-inflicted wound in the throat while in a state of temporary depression. Invercargill, April 13. William Condon, a married man, aged 30 years, was found hanging from a tree to-day. Deceased had been despondent and left a note expressing the intention to commit suicide. Christchurch, April 13. The body of a watersider named Timothy Keohane, aged 45, who lived at Lyttelton for four years, was found floating in the harbour at 8.30 this morning. There were ~.00 marks of violence on the body, it is considered strange that it *wgis floating, as Keohane was seen by several persons last night in a normal state.
Herbert Johnston, aged 13 years, was knocked down by a motor car at Karori on Thurday evening and died from the injuries sustained.
