ideal weather for the season of •he year favoured local bowlers in a Pairs Tournament held yesterday afternoon. Ten pairs took part, the winners being Thomson and Ross (s) with 40 points, Spring ami Pearson (s) being second with 3(5 points. The competition was decided on the aggregate points, and was subject to handicaps, which are shown in parenthesis. Three rounds of 10 heads were played, and the scores were as follows: Ross and Thomson: 17, 10, 9 (4) —40. Pearson and Spring: 8, 13, 7 (8) —36. Christie and Mattar: 8, 13, 7 (8) (1) —33. Downes and Howe: 7, 13, 7 (5) —32. Huntley and Healey: 8,9, 10, (4) 31. Hollings and Parkin: 3, 12, 5 (7) —27. N.ye and Ball: 12, 6, 9 (—)—27. Smith and Simpson: 11, 8,4, (3) —26. Admore and Wthibley: 8,6, 8, (2) Barr and Heasman, 5,5, 7, (5) —22.
