FIRE ON KAIKOURA.

MUCH CARGO DAMAGED. Auckland, Tuesday Night. Cargo is being discharged from the Kaikoura's number fpur hold. The fire had extended to the top of the hatch, consequently a large quantity of cargo will be damaged. The dry wool is being stacked in tiie wharf sheds for examination and the wet wool is being sent to Ihe fellmongeries for reconditioning, li is expected that discharge will be completed about the end of the week, 'i'lie Kaikoura is going to Opau early next week to load frozen meat, afterwards returning here to complete.
