LAURIE’S MUSICAL COMEDY COMPANY.
One of the brightest evening spent locally was enjoyed by those who attended the above entertainment in the Town Hall on Thursday night. Owing to counter attractions there was a poor house, but a very appreciative one. The performance opened with a rousing chorus “Ring the Merry Beds of Fortune,” given by the entire company, and there was not a dull moment from then on. The “buster ballet" was much in evidence and put quite «, “kick” into the performance. The costumes were very line and varied. Doris Bailey was heard to advantage in "Sergeant Brown" and "1 love the Night-time." Yvonne R-ojet proved to be the possessor of a very sweet voice and will undoubtedly be heard of in the future. Muriel Brown was a bright and particular star among dancers and gave an excellent exhibition of the “horn pipe" and other dances, Tom Lincoln provided the fun. A humorous tiuale by the company terminated a very enjoyable and creditable entertainment.
