THE PORT OF FOXTON.

PLAN OF RIVER SOUNDINGS. The Harbour Board authorities have received from Messrs 11. W. Climie and Son, a very complete plan containing the survey of the Manawatu River from the wharf to the River mouth, and which includes detailed soundings of the channel and bar. This plan will be of special interest to owners of vessels either trading to, the port, or who have ships suitable for such work, and it is the intention of the Secretary of the Board to place in the hands of those interested, copies of these soundings. The plan is a very complete one, showing the navigation channel from the open sea to the local wharf and the soundings throughout the route at distances of every five chains.
