Tenders, closing at noon on Wednesday, 4th April, are invited by the Wanganui Education Board for the erection of new out-offices (in brick) and drainage at the Foxton school.
A dance will be held in the Masonic Hall on Easter Monday night in aid of the Orona Downs Queen Carnival. Admission will be: Gents 2/-, ladies 1/-, and the winners of competitions will he announced during the evening. Mr J. A. Hofmann announces that he has installed an up-to-date motor hearse, which will enable him to carry out undertaking work in any part of the district in the most satisfactory manner. Besides undertaking all branches of this work, artificial wreaths can also be supplied. The Foxton Harbour Board notify by advertisement that- tenders for leases of newly surveyed allotments at the seaside, particulars of which are to be seen at the Board’s office, Ross’ Buildings, will be received up to 4 p.m. on Monday, 30th April, 1A23.
