BOWLING.

The Manawatu Bowling Centre’s Easter Tournament will open on Friday at Palmerston North. In all there are 47 entries which have been aiTanged in three sections of 12 and one of 11. Foxton Club will not be represented at the tournament this year.

On Saturday a rink skipped by Fustier wrested the Dixon Cup from Bissel, Dannevirke, by 27 points to IS. Dannevirke had only been in possession of the trophy since the previous week-end, when they defeated Feilding for it.

Two matches were played in the Wilford Cup singles contest last evening, which resulted as follows:

Roore 23 v. Walker 11 (last game in previous round); Smith 23 v. Downes 17 (current round). In the current round Healey lias vet to meet Ross, and Roore to meet Howe. Contestants are required to complete the competition on Wednesday.

A tournament will be arranged for Easter Monday on . the local green, when it is probable visiting bowlers will be present.
