HIGH COMMISSIONER’S CABLE.
The High Commissioner’s cable, dated the 24th inst., reads: “Hemp, Manila market, quiet. Prices somewhat weaker. ‘PI’ grade spot sold at £37; ‘O' grade March-May shipments quoted at £37; ‘.l’ grade £35. New Zealand demand falling off except for inferior. Reported fair offered America £3l 10s, MarchMay shipments.”
