NEW POLICE STATION.

PRESENT BUILDINGS INSANITARY. Mr J. Linklater, M.P., in company with Ah- Ed. Newman and a press representative made an inspection of the local police residence to-day and promised to urge immediate action on the part of the PAY. Department to have new buildings erected. A sum of £2,000 is on the Estimates for this work. Air Linklater forwarded the following telegram to the ATinister of Pubic Works: —“Have this morning inspected police station at Foxton. I urge upon you necessity of having money expended on new building within this financial year. Present condition of building insanitary and unfit for occupation.”
