BOWLING.

Three rinks representing the Foxton Club visited Levin on Wednesday, to play friendly games. The weather was ideal for the occasion and the visitors were very hospitably received, and report having’ had an enjoyable time. The president of the home club, Mr Brown, welcomed the visitors and expressed pleasure al Foxton Club having returned their recent visit before the dose of the present season. At the conclusion of play, Mr Christie, president of the Foxton Club, returned thanks for the fine day’s play they bad had and said he hoped such visits would be more frequent in the future. A tasty afternoon tea was dispersed by the ladies. The following are the results of play:— Brown 22 v. Christie 17. Harris 24 v. Ross 12. Hawke 20 v. Smith 21.
