FOXTON RACING CLUB.
MR. D. R. OGILVY APPOINTED SECRETARY. There_ were twenty-two applications for the position of secretary of the local Racing Club fendered vacant by the retirement of Mr L. R. Freeman, who is leaving Foxton to take over the management of the Albert Hotel, at Auckland. There was a full attendance of stewards ‘and committee, presided over by Mr W. E. Barber. After careful consideration, Mr D. R. Ogilv.y was selected for the position. Mr Ogilvy has held the posit ion of auditor to the club and has had wide experience as an accountant which eminently fits him for the position and the club is to be congratulated upon securing such a capable officer. f
