Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd. have received the following cable from their agents, dated the 6th March, 1923: — “Wool sales have opened. There is a large attendance of buyers. As compared with the closing rates of the last series, best Merinos unchangedl; average Merinos fd per lb. cheaper; fine Halfbreds, 50/56’s, unchanged; Halfbreds, 48/50’s, Id per lb. cheaper; fine Crossbreds, 46/48’s, Id per lb. cheaper; medium Crossbreds, 44/46’s, fd per lb. cheaper; coarse Crossbreds, 40/44’s id per lb. cheaper; low Crossbreds, 36/40’s, 4d per lb. cheaper.”
