PERSONAL.
At last night’s school committee meeting the Board’s proposed appointment of Mr Andrew McR. Davidson to the position of first assistant at the school was endorsed. Mr Davidson will take up his duties in about a month’s time. Mr Davidson is at present third male assistant at the Dunedin Training College and has a B. certificate and possesses the B.A. degree in geology, history, education, Latin and economics and is qualified to teach chemistry, agriculture, geology, hygiene and physiology. His credentials and testimonials are of a high order. Mr Davidson is 28 .years of age, single and has been 13 years in the profession (3} years’ war service double time). Mr Davidson is specially mentioned for his work in connection with organised games.
