Wanganui, February 26,

.Air T. M. Milford, Leader of the Liberal Party, states that he has received five names of persons who have been suggested as possible candidates for the Tauranga seat. He has replied to the organisations and individuals who forwarded them that he cannot discuss the matter till after the funeral of the late Sir William Herries. Mr Wilford regrets his inability to atteud the funeral on account of having promised to be at Waverley to-morrow to fulfil an engagement made by the Waveiiey people to suit bis owu ai'range meats.
