HOROWHENUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD.

CR. ALEX. ROSS APPOINTED. At last night’s special meeting of the Borough Council, a letter was received from the Horowhenua Electric Power Board notifying the Council that Mr F. D. Whibley had resigned from the Board as tilie borough’s representative and asking the Council to appoint a representative to fill the vacancy. Cr. M. H- Walker nominated the Mayor.

The Mayor declined nomination and said he had pleasure in nominating Cr. Alex. Ross, who was more familiar with that class of work, of which he had practical experience. Cr. Walker seconded the nomination.

Cr. Ross’ appointment met with the unanimous approval of the Council and he thanked councillors for the appointment. -
