ENTERTAINMENTS.

AN HISTORICAL MASTERPIECE. A wonderful page of Roman history will be unfolded at the Town Hall to-night. The production which has been prepared and photographed in Italy is redolent of the wonderful scenes of that country. The superb acting of the ladies and gentlemen who carry the leading roles is a matter of comment for long afterwards. Some idea of the thrilling scenes is given in the advertisement elsewhere in this issue. The production is extremely interesting as it portrays a fragment of the history of the great Roman Empire which played as great a part in it's day as does our own at the present time. Apart from its value as an educational medium, the vein of romance running through the picture makes it extremely in-, teicsting to one and all. Prices are 1/- and 1/(5 plus tax, children 3d and Gd. On Friday night Tom Mix will appear in “Sky High,” as its name applies far and away above all of the Mix previous efforts. Usual prices. ROYAL PICTURES. When you look at “The Fox,” the Harry Carey picture showing at the Royal Theatre to-night, you are not merely seeing. a screen production — you are beholding scenes from real life. Among the most interesting of those scenes are those in which cavalry is seen in action in the desert. Harry Carey wrote “The Fox.” Prices 1/- and 1/6, children halfprice, all plus tax.

Shall we pity or blame the girl who made luxury a habit? Who married and missed it? And who sought the woman’s way out? Man.V wives will see themselves in the latest First National attraction, “Habit,” which is to be screened at the Royal Theatre on Friday night. Habit has. made many women want things their husband’s can’t afford and habit has also made them. ask for “easy terms” when the account falls due. • During the screening “Just a Song at Twilight” will be sung. Don’t miss this good programme. Community singing also.
