SCHOOL SHOP DAY.

SATURDAY NEXT.

The local school committee are in want of funds for school purposes. The head teacher (Mr Banks) conferred with the staff and offered assistance with the co-operation of the pupils to “raise the needful” by a monster shop day which will take place on Saturday next on the vacant space next the C. M. Ross Co.’s premises. The shop will be open from 10 a.m. till 7.30 p.m. All goods unsold after 7 p.m. will be auctioned bv Mr 11. Ries.

' The goods will comprise a wonderful collection of produce, preserves, cookery, poultry, etc., etc. There will also be guessing competitions for various prizes and a bran tub.

Gifts will be thankfully received at the school on Friday and up to 9 a.m. at the shop on Saturday.
