RAILWAY OFFICIALS IN TROUBLE.
Hastings, Last Night. Janies Patrick Delaney, railway hooking clerk at Hastings, pleaded guilty to a series of thefts from the department extending from December 27 to January 0 last, amounting to £36. He was convicted and elected to he dealt with summarily, and was admitted to probation for 12 months, and ordered to make restitution.
' David Hodges, railway goods cleric, also of Hastings, was charged with failing to account for monies received on behalf of the department, thereby committing theft, in various sums, fotalling £6B, between August 14 last and January IS. Accused was committed for trial at the Supreme Court, Napier.
