WHARF AND PROPOSED RIVER CUT.

During the brief visit, of Mr Me- \ illy, General-Manager of Railways and his departmental officers to Paxton on Tuesday afternoon, the Hoard chairman (Mr J. Linklater, )'.!>.,) asked Mr Hornblow to express the views of the Chamber of Commerce re the wharf. In doing so Mr Hornblow said the Chamber heartily endorsed the Board’s request and hoped that a satisfactory solution of the present restrictions would he arrived at.
