FOXTON HARBOUR BOARD.
EXTRACTS FROM LAST YEAR’S BALANCE-SHEET. The sum of £7B 13s was collected by the Harbour Board from its seaside tenants last year and transferred to the Manawatu County Council and Foxton Council for road purposes. L £584 was transferred from general account to interest account and £SO to sinking fund account. The Board’s sinking fund account has a credit of £2lB 10s 9d. The credit of the general account to 31/12/22 was £461 18s Id. The Board’s assets and liabilities at 31/12/22 were: Assets —credit at bank £461 18s Id, rents outstanding £162 14s 6d, wharf £5,000, dred- , gc £4,621 3s, goods sheds £1,092 15s 7d, pilot’s residence £475, pilot’s old residence £3OO, plant, launch, etc. £350, making a total of £12,463 11s 2d. Liabilities—Road contributions £Bl 3s, excess of assets over liabilities £12,382 8s 2d. Public debt loan of £16,000 at 5J per cent, and one per cent, sinking fund, received on account £II,OOO. The rents received for the year, were £531 11s 4d, out of a total of £694 5s 10d, leaving £162 4s 6d outstanding.
