Any photograph of interest for insertion in the fdrthcoming illustrated booklet on “Marvellous Manawatu” should be sent in to Chamber of Commerce, Box 18(5, Palmerston North. All accepted will be paid for at the rate of from 1/to 10/- each according to merit and interest. Those not used will be returned to senders if name and address is clearly marked on back. This is a unique opportunity 7 for amateurs and professionals/to get cash for outdoor pictures. To be of interest for this important publication, photographs may comprise field and garden crops, pastoral subjects, dairying pictures, poultry farming, bee-keeping, flaxmilling, industries of any kind, sports, and pastimes, trophies of the chase, pleasure resorts, scenic beauties, mountaineering, (lower and vegetable gardening, motoring, street scenes, business pictures, work on the farm, dairy factory scenes, etc. All pictures, should be on glossy bromide or P.O.P. The decision of the publicity committee to be final' in every instance. Entries are also invited for a suitable slogan, the shorter and more descriptive the better. For instance. Nelson uses tl e slogan “Sunny Nelson, the Garden of New Zealand,” while Hamilton says. “Hamilton, the Hub of the Waikato.” Rome happy, descriptive slogan, rhyming or alliterative, is going to win three guineas. It is not necessary to use the phrase

“Marvellous Mann wain” if you can coin a better one. Entries are free and should be addressed as above. Competitors are asked to remember that the “Marvellous Mnnawatu” comprises five counties, Horowhenun, Tvairanga. Manawatu, Oronn Pohangina.*
