RIFLE SHOOTING.
Last Saturday the third and last .shoot for Mr Admore’s and Club’s trophies was held, 15 shots at 500 yards. Conditions were favourable the light being good and wind fairly steady, but the heat-caused some elevation trouble and twos and threes were common. There again two or three cases of nickel-;, ing. Scores were as follows: — 500 yds. H.cap. Total
Results for the best two shoots are:—Winner of Mr Admore’s trophy Rifleman Hamer aggregate 139 (used handicap 9); second prize, Club trophy, Rifleman Barnard, aggregate 139 (used handicap 10); third prize, Club trophy, Rifleman S. Head, aggregate 135. Next Saturday a shoot for the Claris Bowl will be held at 300 yards.
