LONDON WOOL SALES.

Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd. have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 23rd January, 1923. — “Wool sales have opened. There is a large attendance of buyers and competition is keen. As compared with the closing rates of last series Merinos are Id! per lb. dearer} fine halfbreds, 40/56’s are 2d per lb. dearer; halfbreds, 48/50’s 2£d per jb. dearer; fine crossbreds, 46/48’s 2%d per lb. dearer; medium crossbreds, 44/46’s, 2d per lb. dearer; coarse crossbreds, 40/44’s lid per lb. dearer; low crossbreds, 36/40’s, lid per lb dearer.” -
