SENSATION AT NEW PLYMOUTH.
New Plymouth, Yesterday
An unusual incident, and one it bout whiflh there were some menaping features, took place in Mam street here last night, as the result of which Anthony Kelly appeared in the Court this morning in answer to a series of charges arising out of the occurrences. The charges were, —Of assaulting a constable by pointing an unloaded revolver at him, and saying “I’ll fix you;” with resisting a constable in the execution of his duty; with carrying firearms without a license, and with having in his possession an unregistered revolver; and with presenting an unloaded revolver at a constable. The Magistrate sent Kelly to gaol for one month and inflicted fines totalling £l2.
