THE MONTH FOR MARRIAGE.
-January is not a lucky month for marriage (says a writer on wedding superstitions) and if you want \our marriage to lie long and happ> don’t wed in January. If you marry in February,; you'll be perfectly safe, especially if the man is fair. The March bride will 'travel' i far and make her home across the water. If April is vour marriage month, you will have many ups and downs. May is not supposed to be a lucky month— a superstition which arises from the fact that in ancient tunes Mav was the Goddess of Sterility, The least discomfort threatened to a May brideMs?that strangers will sit around her hoard. The month of roses offers nothing but happiness although you will go over land and sea tor it, Those who in July do wed. Must labour always for their bread. August offers a mate who will be true as lover and liiend. Marry in September ami your path will be n sunny one. October will give love in abundance but no riches. November is almost the best month of all. but the December,, bndc is promised that true love will last a.u happiness only increase with the. 6 Lent, is a time of fasting and not conducive to happiness. And m the olden days 'the Church forbade nunriuge between Advent and from the beginning of Lent till eigh days after Easter, and also between Rogation and Trinity. Next in importance to the mouth comes the day of the week, and the old couplet puts that: very neatly: Monday for wealth, Tuesday for health, Wednesday the best day of all, Thursday for losses, Friday for crosses And Saturday no-luck at all. Though nothing is said about Sunday, it is not considered a particularly lucky day for a wedding.
