JUVENILE CRIMINALS.
Auckland, December 28. The police investigation of burglaries at various residences in Grey Lynn and Kingsland led to the arrest of live boys, sons of respectable parents, who confessed, and led a detective to the places where the stolen articles were planted. The accused are bright boys, 13 and 14 years of age, but are said to be inordinately fond of “Deadwood Dick” literature. The stolen property received included cameras, fountain pens, watches, cash boxes, diamond and amethyst rings and bracelets of a total value of about £IOO.
