WANGANUI CENTRE TOURNEY.
The Wanganui Centre tourney was advanced a further three rounds on Thursday, when the competing rinks met on the Wanganui Club’s greens. The weather conditions were again ideal except for a very slight shower, until the conclusion of the day’s play. Section D., Round 3.—Passmore 26 v. Roore 17.
Round 4.—Roore 21 v. Tilley 9. Round 5. —Rogers lost to Roore. Round 6. —McLeod 25 v. Roore lfi.
Round 7.—Roore 24 v. Delves 15, Round 8. —Spnrdle 24 y. Roore 16,
The local rink returned yesterday afternoon and report having had a very enjoyable time at Wanganui tournament. They played eight games, winning four and losing four, which, considering the circumstances under which they contested, is a very creditable performance.
