RIFLE SHOOTING.
The last shoot for the President’s the Retailers’ and the Club s trophies was held on Saturday; 15 shots at 600 yards. Weather conditions were very bad —fuc northeasterly wind being gusty and changeable —and scores were low. The winner's in (his competition, counting best two shoots, are as follows: * President Head’s trophy, Rifleman A. Barnard, 141 (71 and 70), total handicap 13. Retailers’ Association’s trophy, Rifleman . C. Rand, 141. (70 and 71), total handicap 16. Club’s trophy, value 10/-, Rifleman S. J. Hartley, 140 (72 and 68) handicap used, 5. Club’s trophy, value 5/-, Rifleman H. Hamer, 140 (70 aud 70), handicap used, 9.- The '-scores ou Saturday were as follows, 600 yards H.cap. Total.
Next Saturday a shoot for the Claris Bowl will be held, 15 shots at 200 yards.
