A Taihape sheep farmer writes that owing to the rabbit pest the sheep carrying capacity of New Zealand farms has been reduced in ten years bv 2,000,001) head, which is approximately equal to 10,000 rabbits. In Taihape sheep arc estimated to have decreased by at least 150,000 on rabbit infested areas. “The Times,” in a leader commenting ou the New Zealand elections, says that even the political opponents of Mr Massey, who, after a decade, finds himself without a majority, must pay a tribute to the single-minded devotion with which lie has served the Dominion and the Empire in the critical years of his administration.
