Owing to indisposition, Mr Clement L. Wragge has had to abandon his tour in the meantime but hopes to visit Fox ton early in the New Year. Mrs B. M. Kendall, gold medalist at the Auckland Exhibition, is visitill ir Foxton and has consented to soil: at tin* Prohibition Rally at the Tcmii Hall to-morrow afternoon. The following nominations of candidates have been received for the Western Maori District: —Maui Xgatala Pomare (Reform) Rang! Mawhere (Liberal). Tokouru Rata mi (Independent), Tnwhakaririka I’apena (Independent). The election will take place on Wednesday week, a. day before the European general election. The premier concluded a splendid tour of South Taranaki on Saturday, holding- meetings at Waverley, Pa lea and IT.awera. At Hawera he addressed 1,000 people and 700 were unable to gain admittance. Mr Mas.sev proclaimed Air Dixon the official candidate, - The Premier received hearty voles everywhere, and was enthusiastically received. Tiie' Reds say their party has made greatest progress, the Liberals are gone, and Reform is .just about to be killed. Here are the facts: —The Official party candidates standing at this election arc: Masseyiles 7(5, Wilfordites 50, Holla ndites 30. In 1919 Holland’s party had -19 candidates in the field, now it has only 39 or ten less than in 1919.
