Nominations of Parliamentary candidales close on Monday. The Herald -tail de.-ire to thank Miss 11. Skellen lor samples of her prize cookery exhibited at the show. They were voted lirst-class. The date of Mr Clement L. Wragge’s lecture at the Royal Theatre has been altered from Tuesday next to Monday, December 4th. The Rev. Frank McDonald returned from Auckland yesterday, where he attended the Presbyterian Assembly. The complete Manawatu electoral roll (including supplement:}ries) contains (,(178 names, about 499 more than appeared on the last roll for the electorate.
There are thirty-seven polling places in the Manawatu electorate at this election. Mr Deluny, the returning oflicer, has visited all localities and has made ample provision to meet the requirements and convenience of electors. The Methodist Sunday School Anniversary -Services will be held to-morrow, November 20th. Morning at 11, Rev. W. Wills; afternoon at 3, Mr A. ,1. Minilie; evening at 7, Rev. L. Minilie. ' The collection for the day will be devoted to Sunday School funds. The Church is again being decorated with the beautiful lycopodium from the lower slopes of Mount Ruapehu. This hanging in graceful festoons from the principals lend to the sacred building quite a sylvan appearance.
