Again in motion the hall was transferred to the visitors quarters bni owing to the stiff breezes.acro-s the field it was very-, difficult lb keep the bull in play and after a number of throw-ins the visitors again attacked and added another goal to their score. With the appearance of the Foxton’sV--missing man now on the field, the visitor- did nor have it all their own way and after a spell of midfield play the visitors goalie was called upon to save which resulted in a corner kick to the I-’oxton boys without result. Again midfield play ensued and the visitors had a good share of it pressing the local defence all the time, but again the local lads got possession of the ball. .Jenvey lmd a shot for goal which unfortunately for the local boys, struck the cross bar and was cleared on the rebound by the visitors. The visitors transferred play to midfield where it continued for a time until Francis getting possesion took play, down the field and centring the ball, Mounsey converted the pass into a goal. Midfield play then followed until the whistle blew for full time, the game resulting in a win for the visitors by five goals to one. Mr Mcknight very capably lied out the duties of referee.

i In the evening the visitors were entertained by the local club to a dinner in honour of their visit to Foxton. Mr Folias officiated as chairman and in a neat little speech proposed the toast of the visitors which was suitably replied to by Mr Bell. After the rendering of several musical items by the visitors and local boys, Mr Bell proposed the toast of the local club to which several of the local members replied and the rest of the evening was spent in community singing which all present heartily indulged in. The -inging of “Auld Lang Syne” brought n> a close a very pleasant evening. Some, boys of Foxton proceeded to start The Soccer game, which they had at heart, So to work they went with a will. A committee was formed which made some of them ill: But that obstacle over The luiys were in clover! Whan in blue and white on the field They gave the Levinites a terrible deal. But their hearts did quiver, with their great pace Wjhen on the field they had the Red Indians to face. But to give the game a boost The Wellington lads came to Foxton the week end to roost For an exhibition game to play Which they hope to return some day. So lads of Foxton, we all must say, 'l’lse Wellington boys are sports to--7 day; Although they beat us, they cannot deny . That we are the iads who never say die. They play a glorious game Which must lead them to fame So give three cheers, three hearty cheers, For the Wellington boys to-day.
