OBITUARY.

MR ROBT. NIMMO. The sudden death took ]>lace at Taumaranui on Thursday, at the residence of his daughter, of Mr Robert Nimmo, a well-known settler and ex-flaxmiHer of Foxton. The cause of death was heart failure. A few days ago deceased was about town, apparently in his usual health and his death corues as a shock to his relations and friends. For many years the late Mr Nimrno was engaged in the flaxmilling industry from which he retired about three years ago. His generous disposition and manly qualities made him respected by all with whom he was acquainted, He leases a family of two sons (Mesrs Robert, Glen Oroua and Richard, Foxton) and two daughters (Mrs Beaufort, Taumaranui and Lilian, Sydney) to mourn their loss. Deceased’s wife predeceased him some years ago. The late Mr Nimmo was a member of the local Masonic Lodge, but owing to short notice of his demise, the Lodge was unable to arrange a Masonic service to the departed brother but members who were communicated with attended the funeral and officiated as pall bearers.

The body arrived by this afternoon's train and was conveyed to the Foxton cemetery where the interrment took place, the service being conducted by the Rev. Frank McDonald, Presbvterian minister.
